Route B - Applied A Levels
It is also possible for students to study vocational Applied A-Level courses alongside AS courses and thus exploit even greater flexibility.
Applied A-Level courses at Advanced Level taken up in Year 12 are for those students who have a clear career path in mind related to three vocational areas:
In Year 12 students would choose a six unit programme in their chosen vocational study but could ally this to one or possibly two additional subjects at AS level.
Given that the full Applied A-Level award is the equivalent of 2 x A2 courses students could also continue with an AS course to continue into Year 13.
